Richmond star Anderson declares for Draft
Anderson will enter Draft, but may go back to school
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Atlantic 10 player of the year Kevin Anderson of Richmond says he is entering his name in the NBA draft, but is leaving the door open to return for his senior season.
The Atlanta native says he will not hire an agent. Declaring for the draft allows Anderson to work out for NBA teams and get feedback on his draft prospects. And by not hiring an agent, he can return to school if he withdraws his name by May 8.
The 6-foot guard averaged 17.8 points as Richmond finished 26-9 and made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2004. Anderson also led the Spiders with 93 assists and was second on the team with 61 steals.
