Curtis Mayfield - "Diamond in the Back" #BHM
*Curtis Lee Mayfield (June 3, 1942 – December 26, 1999) was an African-American soul, R&B, and funk singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for hismusic with The Impressions during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's and for composing the soundtrack to the blaxploitation film Super Fly, Mayfield is highly regarded as a pioneer of funk and of politically conscious African-American music. He was also a multi-instrumentalist who played the guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, and drums. Curtis Mayfield is a winner of both the Grammy Legend Award (in 1994) and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (in 1995), and was a double inductee into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted as a member of The Impressions into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, and again in 1999 as a solo artist. He is also a two-time Grammy Hall of Fame inductee.
Mr. Mayfield is one of my favorite musicians of all-time. #BHM

DJ Swirv Deniro & Rock Bottom Entertainment’s own Woundz presents “Scarred Up The Mixtape Part 2″. #DMV artist Woundz displays a unique sound as he introduces the world to “Tattoo Music”.
The project features collaborations with #DMV artists Rubix Qoob, Mona J, and the soulful sounds of R&B Vocalist Sunny Perylz. Kid Hollywood produced tracks on the projects as well.

This Richmond, VA based DJ Squad was created in 2006 with the mission to break records, create brotherhood amongst DJs in our market, and serve as the music industry ambassadors. DJ Swirv Deniro, DJ Boom , DJ Var, and DJ B-Nice were the squads original members.
Since 2010, DJ Jeff C, DJ Vonn, Don Juan Cardova, and DJ Tease joined the squad. The name was inspired by DJ Flava aka The Franchise. The TRAPStarDJs continues to break independent & major records in the Richmond/DMV market; also volunteering their DJ knowledge conducting DJ 101 classes to inner city youth.
